Default Your Zombie Apocalypse Playlist

This is very similar to Ten Song Shuffle, but I felt like it was different enough to get its own thread. I'm going to be making an actual playlist soon, without keeping shuffle on... make it more fitting. And I was listening to this while playing Diablo III with the music off, so it really was my apocalypse playlist.

I am not sure why I mostly got swing jazz, but happy that a few of the songs actually matched the "theme" of whatever the number was.

I have to say, I'm confused. I expected death metal or punk or something loud and out of control, but NAT KING COLE!!!???? How does that fit into a zombie apocalypse? What are the criteria? My brain hurts.

MMMMMMM... BRAAAAIIINNNNNSNNZZZZZZZZ

You DID see the picture at the start of the thread, right? Where it says to "put your favorite media player on shuffle?" :p

This is a fantastic idea for a playlist!

I think though I'll be sticking more to Trollheart's impression...

1. Operation Ground and Pound - Dragonforce
I know everyone is probably aware that I am not fond of the band, but oh God do I adore this song. It has the power, the excitement and the demeanour for this situation completely!

2. Raise Your Hands - Bon Jovi
I think I have a soft spot for this song from a slightly rough album, but my this is crazy.

3. Holding out for a Hero - Bonnie Tyler
Wonderful song, wonderful singer!!!!

For a zombie apocalypse it would be this song on infinite repeat until I ran out of ammo and ability to fight back.

There is no link. Each of my songs was chosen randomly when last.fm was put onto shuffle, and the songs are supposed to stand for whatever number they were on.

That said, I think that old jazz and pop goes well with the apocalypse. Fallout 3 gave me that connection.

And if I were to pick any one song to play when fighting zombies, it would be this one. **** would get real during the end.

Nat King Cole is a superb choice, I'll have to assume you've never played Fallout 3?
