Need help getting info on a possible rare CD.

Way back I was a member of Columbia House, the service where you could order CD's and get them by mail. I had bought Guns N' Roses "Live Era '87-'93".

When I got it everything looked normal. CD art was different from each other but when I played the first disc, the songs from the second disc were on it. Put on the second disc and it was the same songs.

I debated sending it back but decided to hold on to it. Now I'm looking for info on the rarity of this CD but am coming up empty.

If anyone knows anything about this or where I can get some real confirmation on it's rarity please reply. Thanks! :)

I doubt you'd find anything on it since it was probably a bumble within Columbia House packing. Someone got disc #5664899 mixed up with disc #5664898.

I don't think you understand. Disc 1 is blue and has the number 1 on it. Disc 2 is pink and has the number 2 on it, but both discs have the same track list. On the underside of Disc 1 it has printed on it "V8324 SEL #0694905152 GUNS N ROSES LIVE CD 1" but on the underside of Disc 2 it has ""069 490 5162R1 011" printed on it.

Ok, so it happened down the line a bit farther. A manufacturing mix up.

Hope it's worth millions.

Googled "0694905162". First link that came up almost confirms it's existence, not just my case but states that Disc 1 has Disc 2's tracklist and Disc 2 has Disc 1's Tracklist.

What kind of information are you really hoping to find?

A 'rare' misprint of a mail club cd isn't really going to be worth much especially in this day and age where all the expected material can likely be found on youtube or some similar site.

I can't say with 100% certainty if this applies to Columbia House but I know BMG music used to press their own discs and were apparently slightly substandard to what you'd get on the shelf at the store. Though when the alternative was relying on AM radio instead... I took the weak cases and cheap discs with a smile.
