Yes, I had a music tattoo some time ago and it was for my favorite band Rock. I got this tattoo from Miami and they designed it very well with nice coloring. Music tattoos are the best way to express your feelings/passion for music. I will post the picture of it as soon as possible.

I've been trying to find a Tom Waits thing to get but there isn't much in the way of symbolism with that man.

Sounds like a viable option. I'm assuming you want it to be lost on anyone but a true Waits fan. Jansz idea seems relevant.
