Jim Morrison said it great back in 1969. My thoughts on this topic... Just listen to your own thing. The exposure to so many different kinds of music is great, so dive in. That's the future - Your Choice. Let the Pop Pickers buy into the hype, you don't have to. Last edited by Screen13; 05-21-2012 at 11:21 AM. |

It is, but it's still rather amusing that someone went out and said something that was to be so perfect.
All of this change does not surprise me at all, and I try not to let it worry me. Change always happens naturally. |

Jumping many generations ahead. Life on earth may get to that point, who knows? Frank has hardly been wrong. I know, going off topic in a way. Just a touch of humor. All I'm trying to say is that we should not worry about the future of music - just let it happen. Enjoy what you like, don't believe the hype. Introduce and educate if you want to or let the groove take you and your fellow travelers. While there's still life here, have a great time with the Music! A lot of the artists I favor still hold up an album over the singles. Animal Collective, Mastodon, Tyler the Creator, Radiohead - all very focused on cohesion or concept, though they may have standout tracks that act as centerpieces or the focus for casual listening. But that's just playing the music business game. But I think i'm playing a small adversarial role to your argument, a very narrow view. I'm going mainly off the first statement as well, so I may be missing the whole picture. Sorry if I am.
