"El Matador" by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. For me this song has everything. Structure-wise it has a perfect arrangement of mellower parts flowing into anthemic parts and creates an incredible amount of tension and build. And it has those great vocals that make you want to shout along but that also have a little undercurrent of sadness too. Plus it has a beat that just makes you want to shake your ass and one of the most killer basslines ever. But most of all it has such power, it's like an elephant crashing through a city. I've seen it live too and I have to say I have never seen a song make a crowd move the way this one does.

Unfortunately YouTube has disabled the embedding on this one but you can still check it out if you click this link: YouTube - LOS FABULOSOS CADILLACS - Matador

There's no one song which stands head and shoulders above everything else, as I could probably name about 50 as well. One I've been listening to a hell of a lot recently though is Tuesday Morning by the Pogues. It's basically got everything I like in a pop song - terrific melody, well-conceived lyrics, some great vocal harmonies and, of course, very well-written instrumental parts (being the Pogues and all). Very unusual song for the Pogues. They aren't exactly known for writing pop songs after all.

Sigur Ros - Untitled 8 ("Popplagið")

Sweeping soundscapes, incredible drum breakdowns, beautiful vocals. It's perfection.

Pink Floyd - Dogs. I was only listening to this yesterday for the umpteenth time and it has every single thing I like in music and I never ever get tired of playing this song.

Oddly enough for me, I'm going to have to say Blink 182 - Dammit, though the cover System of a down did (i think its them, may just be serj) was amazing, i still love the beat and its fun to play slowed down

Because it's so damn hard to pick on song, this following song is like representation of my teenage angst as I had this on repeat 1241234235 times.

Rolling Stones - Paint It Black.

Guaranteed - Eddie Vedder

Just Eddie Vedder and his acoustic guitar. What more can you ask for?
