The last sound you will ever hear?
Tried this in my journal, got zero response, so let's throw it out there to the community at large and see how interested anyone is.
What's the last sound you'd like to hear before you croak, shuffle off this mortal coil, cash in your chips, hang up your boots etc? Doesn't HAVE to be music --- though that would be preferable, with ideally a quick synopsis of why that particular music --- maybe the sound of your newborn baby daughter, your wife's breathing, someone saying "Happy hundredth birthday, Mister President!" to you... possibilities are endless. I should make clear I am NOT talking about music for your funeral. In that case, you'll be dead (unless someone has made a VERY grave mistake!) and won't hear or care anyway. This is the last sound you would like to hear before your life here fizzles out. Ain't I great for cheering up a dreary Monday? Ah well, just a bit of fun. Anyone want to take part?

"Thank you for sharing your life with me."
Think I'd be quite content if I heard that. Things I would NOT like to hear include; "That bull looks a bit pissed off", "Can you smell gas?" "Hey, is the wing supposed to flap around like that?" |

I'm not sure, but perhaps David Gilmour's final solo from High Hopes.
Hearing it might jolt me back into life, though.

If that's it, there will also be cheers and fervent applause in the background.

The gurgling sound of bubbly water going down the sink.
