Does anyone else enjoy giving this group a whirl every once in a while?


I've always sort of felt like they've mostly gone ignored. Thoughts?

Gotta love 'I think we're alone now', much superior to the Tiffany version that gained all the publicity.

Crimson and Clover is the jam.

I actually got Crimson and Clover as a used vinyl LP a couple of days back. Good stuff, and hearing it on headphones is even better. A couple of throwaways, but even they are fine enough.

In the mood for reading? Check out Tommy's book Me, the Mob, and the Music. Very interesting story surrounding the creating of all of those Pop classics while recording for Roulette for Morris Levy. Very intense times!

my earliest musical memories were of "Mony Mony"

The guitar in "Mirage" is basically "I Think We're Alone Now" backwards. I always felt that to be charming.

You found one? I have one; it was given to me by my grandmother (it used to be my mother's) but I've always wanted a cleaner copy (with less surface noise). I just can't find one at an affordable price.

Oddly enough, a long time back I got a 1968 NME that had a small interview with him when that record was breaking through in The US and there was an international interest starting to brew up in his music. I have to see if I still have that one (not in the best of conditions...), but it is/was the only authentic 60's Express I bought.
