Wtf happened to mediafire?
I used to be able to type in the name of a band and the album/song I wanted from them followed by mediafire into google and poof, within 5 minutes it would be downloaded. Now I have to sift through blogs and random forums and 9/10 times the link is invalid. I miss muh free music :(.
Anyone else experiencing this? Are there other websites that I can DL from that anyone wants to name drop? I found out my #2 site megaupload's been shutdown and carries a scary little FBI warning if you go there... :shycouch: |
I think it's a result of when SOPA/PIPA was happening.

megaupload is working fine for me.

The man crucified Megaupload as a warning to the others, it worked.

So you don't get one of these then, Urban?

Yes, I`ve been having trouble with mediafire and megaupload too. Yesterday I had more success with a site called clip.dj , though its material seems to be based on song-by-song Youtube clips which are converted into mp3s.

My suggestion: search for the album/artist/song info as usual, but search for blogspot instead of mediafire after that.
The mediafire sites and links exist, but you can't search for them directly. Blogspot sites usually have links to the albums for you to download directly from mediafire. |
Thanks for the tip ! I`ll try that next time.

here are a few ways I get round it.
Try mp3crank.com, it's a site that redirects you to mediafire, rapidshare, hotfile etc links. It's got a vast range of albums. The password for their files are always mp3crank.com (one word) Also, try typing in abbreviations instead of the full title, i.e. KV - SRFMH for Kurt Vile's Smoke Ring For My Halo, obviously this would be harder to do for a file such as Gas's 'Pop' album. |
^ This.
If you can be arsed you can still get pretty much anything. |
