#96: Devin Townsend (Band/Project)

  • Studio production is out of this world.
  • His entire discography consists of metal, and easy listening rock ambiance.
  • Released two albums in the same year (Ghost & Deconstruction), two different genres, both absolutely phenomenal.
  • One of the most underrated vocalist / guitarists / growlers at the moment.
  • Every album is top notch. And going from his first to his last, they just get better and better.
  • He rocked the skullet. Didn't look half bad.

There are so many songs you should listen to. I probably won't do it much justice, but i'll do my best.

I absolutely can not stand his production. It's godawful. He uses so much studio ****ery it sounds as hollow and cheap as a Ross Robinson nu-metal album.

Well KI, you made a good thread. I agree with on Pink Floyd. They are not that great of a band anyway. I mean this is one of the rock bands that are nothing special. Ac/Dc made some great music though they had their pitfalls. I listened to one Ac/Dc back in 2008, it was classic material. I think Ac/Dc will make great music for years to come. I love this band. The only problem is that their lead singer is a Janis Joplin wannabe. I am referring to John Anderson. He tries to copy Joplin too much.

Obviously we disagree. I think his production exceeds a lot of production quality from a number of bands. His Deconstruction album was one of the best metal albums released in my opinion.

There was nobody by the name of John Anderson in ACDC. What are you talking about?

Next time you see the Doc, ask him to change your medication.

Getting Jon Anderson, Bonn Scott and Janis Joplin all mixed up!

He even spelled it 'John Anderson'.

So apparently he really likes country: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Anderson_(musician)

Yep he could be talking about the country artist who is spelt John Anderson. Most people on here, don't really take Franco seriously anyway, if you want some proof wade through this.
