Read first!
I dunno if there is a thread like this, but if there is, just delete this thread.. So, who's your favorite singer? I have lots of faves. They are Drake, Michael Jackson, Atreyu, Black Tide, Bobby Ray, Avenged Sevenfold.

Sarah Vaughan (for her unbelievable range and the amount of soul she puts into her music), Don Van Vliet (for being a versatile blues singer as well as sounding batshit insane), Keiji Haino (for his wonderfully falsetto voice), early Lou Reed (for his ability to convey a wide variety of emotions with a very limited, deadpan voice), Rocky Erickson (because he's Rocky ****ing Erickson), and Wild Man Fischer (just for the hell of it).
While there are many many more, I feel this is an acceptable list for me at the moment. |

The list is plethoric, but I'd have to say that Don Van Vliet or Captain Beefheart is by far my favourite, such a great range, sound, and style of singing, even if it is modeled after Howlin' Wolf.
