it was a trademark for 80s music videos to be directed by famous "name" directors, John Landis, Russell Mulcahy, Julien Temple etc

this one is easily the best of the bunch (dir. by Tobe Hooper):-

Billy defeats an entire army of zombies with rock n roll (and a power generator surge)

Toto are one of the best bands in the history of rock, their sound so unique. I first ever saw that "Hydra" vid as a kid on a Halloween music video show hosted by Elvira Mistress of the Night. The show featured videos by Joy Division, Clash, Devo, Alice Cooper, Doors and Toto amongst others, but it was the Toto video that stuck most in my mind.

Agree, Kate Bush is always a must and one of the greatest female artists ever.

I'd knew you'd like Billy Idol, I have a soft spot for his music as well and really think Rebel Yell and Whiplash Smile great albums.

You are the one missing the point. He is saying that their is not just one cheese that can be applied to music. Pink Floyds albums in the 80s were giving a bit of cheese, just like Tom Pettys. The result....awesome amazing music that they will never make again. A second type of cheese uses the cheese to sell copies and get a mass audience appeal.

Also Jay I have ran into your posts in a few other threads and you seem to debate a topic by putting down the other person and essentially making fun of them like you did earlier in this thread with milano. Try being an adult and getting your point across in a more intelligent fashion so you dont have to resort to the previous tactic.

Extremely conceptual - Check
i prefer this one actually:-

it's a better song, the video is simpler, more idiotic and goofy and cements her reputation as a "madwoman"
