RIP Davy Jones
 

Monkee Davy Jones has passed away at age 66. Not a huge fan but a shame nonetheless.

A member of what was quite possibly the first boy band ever.
To a fellow Mancunian not without talent.
RIP Davy Jones.

I was a fan of the show as a kid. Its a shame he had to pass on at such a young age. RIP. Mickey Dolenz supposedly had a premonition that something was wrong and couldn't sleep last night.

Probably his first TV performance as the Artful Dodger in 'Oliver' the production. *Double click as some numpty disabled embedding.



What you won't learn from this is that the same production also featured a young Steve Marriot.

This morning I'd been talking about watching reruns of the Monkees TV show when I was a kid, and then found out about this a few hours later.

:( indeed.

Met his good friend Micky Dolenz a few years back, which was a nice experience. He and I discussed Davy Jones' brilliance at the time, along with Dolenz' sister Coco.

Truly tragic, a loss of a talented gentleman and far too soon to be quite honest. I mourn him sincerely and greatly.

Very sad news.

Sad day. The Monkees were great. :(
