Basically it's a "What Are You Listening To Right Now" thread, but based around an entire website. Set up similarly to Facebook, with the songs taking the place of the status update. You befriend people, and it just kind of scrolls through songs that are posted on your "wall". If people are interested I can do a profile for MusicBanter, and have users select songs they want played. It could help bring in new members. If this site interests you at all, you can follow me, my profile is: loathsomepete | This Is My Jam |

I'm still learning the ins and outs of it, although I can say I'm not a fan how it doesn't keep track of previous songs you post. It's still in beta though, so it may be something that gets fixed. In either case it could be a really neat website when you start following a lot of people and can just let the songs play out.

Well thanks for sharing this with us anyway, I like the idea quite a lot. Are we allowed to link it in our signature?

If people like the idea of a MusicBanter account, I don't mind spending the time on it, but yeah, the overall lasting value of it doesn't seem to be that long, especially with other services like turntable.fm and 8tracks. I may look back at it when it's out of beta.

Fair enough, I think one account for Music Banter is a reasonable idea. When it starts to give us more options, I think there's some potential in it, but it's not really giving us enough to do. I was a bit hasty to express my support for it, I guess.
