While I enjoyed Program Music, I of course will go with my rec. of :Egocentrics. I truly find Program Music to be pleasant and unique, but I feel opposite of Pedestrian. I find :Egocentrics to be more replayable, if not more captivating.

Program Music I: 1
Love, Fear, Choices, and Astronauts: 1

I found that the Egocentrics's piece had something of a cliche about it. However, they took that same cliche, raped it, and made it their own baked and jammed out version of their own. In comparison to the textural--a quality that I often seek out in music--aspects of Program Music I, it really seeks a more realistic and enjoyable goal than strictly background music. Hence, my vote shall go to Love, Fear, Choices, and Astronauts.

Program Music I: 1
Love, Fear, Choices, and Astronauts: 2

For me, Program Music 1 is rather subtle, but very colorful at the same time. At the same time, I feel it wanders too much for my taste, and is much more enjoyable as background music rather than a sit down and listen album. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but when the Egocentrics have the same colorful pallet and holds my interest at full attention... I have to give the nod to the Egocentrics.

Program Music I: 1
Love, Fear, Choices, and Astronauts: 3

*This may be the last battle with this theme, depending on the outcome. If so, the theme will only be tabled and can be resumed again with the current results.

Ok. The Egocentrics win their battle, and end the win streak of Program Music 1 at 2.

We've been going with the 4 Tracks or less theme for awhile and have had several battles. So far, only Thrust and Program Music 1 have managed more than one win. I think it's about the time we change themes. So, here are the 4 for you to choose from. We will vote for one week and will start taking albums next Monday.

Sophomore Albums
Albums before their time
Punk albums from 1977-1980
Albums that reprise/revisit songs or themes
