Obviously. Lemonade Mouth is the standard by which all band movies and perhaps films in general should be judged.
Look at this scene where the rag-tag group of strangers meet in detention; where the magic starts: My heart soars as Olivia dances around the room and they all improvise such a inspired song. They are meant to play together! It's so obvious! But will their parents approve? Charlie's brother is a hot shot soccer player who gets good grades at a fancy school, and his parents want Charlie to do the same but all Charlie wants to do is play the drums. He doesn't want to let his parents down but he has to follow his passion! This is but one of the hardships the band members must endure. Need more evidence of the films greatness? Look at this scene where the bandmates try and help an anxious Olivia before their big performance at the school's Halloween Bash: My favorite character is Stella. She's a rebel that doesn't let the authority of the school's principal keep her from doing what she thinks is right. Her shirt that says "Question Authority" on it says all you need to know about her. |

Les Claypool's Electric Apricot. A film festival type film, but a great watch. It's in the same vein as Spinal Tap, except with a psychedelic jam band. And I'd take Electric Apricot over Spinal Tap in a heartbeat.
Les Claypool plays the sporadic drummer / glass-blower (bong maker) :P |
