Default Music and the Seasons

Does anyone find themselves listening to certain songs/artists during the different seasons.

I personally find that more mellow music comes into my rotation during the winter(one of my favourite winter songs is "A Long December by Counting Crows" months and that more upbeat stuff in the summer.

What about everyone else?

John Coltrane somehow suits any day over 40 degrees C.

It's summer for you now right? 40 C is pretty hot!

Yeah, I find myself listening to some different artists or genres during different seasons. Fall and winter are the only two seasons in my school year (for the most part), and of course for school I listen to a lot of classical (like A LOT), and jazz too. Jazz seems to suit the long nights for some reason.

I don't know what I listen to in spring. Stuff that I like, obviously. Summer is when I whip out more rocking tunes. Led Zeppelin is a staple for me over the summer. That might go back to when I was a kid and my parents would host summer barbecues and blast stuff like Zeppelin, Rush, Van Halen, AC/DC (who I can't stand), stuff like that.

Overall, my tastes don't vary that much throughout the year.

Thankfully we only see 40+ a couple of times over summer. That's just crazy hot.

For the most part I listen to relevant (to me at least) music in regards to the Equinoxes and Solstices.

Animal Collective are the kings of this. Feels in the spring, Merriweather Post Pavilion in the summer, Fall Be Kind for the autumn and Strawberry Jam at winter!
