Fun fact of the day: Kim Dotcom, the CEO of Megaupload.com/ who's in custody and in all the headlines, was also apparently the number 1 ranked player in MW3...

Haha. That's a classic right up there with Conjunction Junction.

What I'm really laughing at, though, is how the American bill can only make it half-way up the steps to the Capitol building before it needs a break.

So my friend tells me mediafire has been downed as well. Thats some bull, that sites great. I had some legitimate stuff stored their too.

Seems fine to me though. Thankfully. I said before and I'll say again. Take megaupload, whatever, but I'll cry if they take mediafire.

Will SOPA be able to punish sites created outside of the US or punish internet users outside of the states?

I don't think so .. That would be strange.

I believe they plan to block such sites from US citizens which means people in the US will get access to a censored version of the internet.

edit :

I'm sure they'd lobby with/encourage authorities in other countries to close down other sites and prosecute the owners.
