Does anyone have more posthumous releases than Hendrix? He recorded so much. I'd say he certainly has the greatest collection. Sure, there are some bad recordings in there, but I like most of what I've heard. I recently picked up an album with a lot of recordings featuring Hendrix and Lonnie Youngblood, I think it's pretty good.

That`s an interesting question !
Poor old Richie Valens has one of the saddest statistics: died at the age of 17( so really just a school boy) with one album under his belt, he has three times as many posthumous releases. Country crooner Jim Reeves died in 1964, not that that stopped him from repeatedly turning up in the charts. The Jim Reeves industry turned out a total of 18 posthumous albums. If you`ll excuse the humour, that is really flogging a dead horse ! Quote:

^ Of course, Pedestrian, I bet he`s the winner !
I`ve just counted up a list that shows an extraordinary 77 albums since his death. When he`s finished Sun Ra`s discography perhaps Ska Lagos Jew Rawill review them for us. |
