1. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles Great album, I listen to this all the time. 2. Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys I give this one a spin once every few months or so. 3. Revolver - The Beatles Don't listen to this one often enough, but still a fantastic one. 4. Highway 61 Revisited - Bob Dylan This one's okay, I don't listen to it much, but maybe I'll give it another glance. 5. Rubber Soul - The Beatles Another great Beatles album that comes up time after time. 6. What's Going On - Marvin Gaye Other than the title track and Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler), I'ven't heard much of this, although what I have heard has not been displeasing in the least. 7. Exile on Main Street - The Rolling Stones Never got into The Rolling Stones, I think my parents poisoned me against them after all of the Stones' extensive radio play. I'll put it on my will listen list, though. 8. London Calling - The Clash An alright album, kind bland in my opinion. So you can guess that I don't listen to it very often, if at all. 9. Blonde on Blonde - Bob Dylan See Highway 61 Revisited. 10. The Beatles ("The White Album") - The Beatles\ I used to be far more obsessed with this album than I am now, and I think that it's lost its magic with me from overkill repeat listening. Every once in a while a song will come up and as long as Yoko isn't singing, I usually dig it. 11. The Sun Sessions - Elvis Presley Old school rock and roll, I should give Elvis the listening that he deserves, but I'm not much of a fan. Other than what comes up on the radio, I don't listen to this ever. 12. Kind of Blue - Miles Davis Fantastic album, and Miles' best work apart from Bitches Brew. I listen to this one quite often. 13. Velvet Underground and Nico - The Velvet Underground Love this masterpiece, I listen to it far more than I need to. 14. Abbey Road - The Beatles I never listen to this one intentionally, sort of the same thing with The White Album here. 15. Are You Experienced? - The Jimi Hendrix Experience Although I listen to Axis: Bold As Love more often, I listen to this one all of the time. 16. Blood on the Tracks - Bob Dylan Don't think that I've heard this one, if it compares to his other works, I'll give it a glance though. 17. Nevermind - Nirvana Haven't listened to this since I was twelve. 18. Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen I'm not white enough to be a Springsteen fan, I never could swallow his works. 19. Astral Weeks - Van Morrison This one's good, but I deleted it from my music library for some reason in years past. 20. Thriller - Michael Jackson Only listen to this at parties and such, but if there is one MJ album I'd want to listen to, it would be this one. 21. The Great Twenty-Eight - Chuck Berry Chuck Berry's was first in rock. Now, first does not equal best, so I don't listen to his work ever. 22. Plastic Ono Band - John Lennon This album has some great Lennonisms that I like a lot, I listen to this once a month or so. 23. Innervisions - Stevie Wonder I've never listened to this. 24. Live at the Apollo - James Brown See above. 25. Rumours - Fleetwood Mac I think that I've only heard Songbird from this one, I think my parents may have this one. I'll check it out. 26. The Joshua Tree - U2 After all of the glory that this album gets, I gave it a listen about three years ago, and Bono's voice is annoying as hell. I'll give it another listen in four years when my earbuds change. 27. King of the Delta Blues Singers, Vol. 1 - Robert Johnson Haven't heard this one, but I do love Howlin' Wolf, Son House, and a few other delta blues masters, I'll check this out. 28. Who's Next - The Who I love Tommy with a passion, so when I gave this a listen after claims that it's a far better album, I was austerely disappointed. Other than the occasional Won't Get Fooled Again, I don't ever listen to this one. 29. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin My favourite Zeppelin album, so that deserves oft plays. 30. Blue - Joni Mitchell Never heard this one, I'll check it out though.

Shiiit, I've only actually listened to 4, 6, 8, 11, 16, 17, 18, 19 & 28, of them my favourites are What's Going On, London Calling and Born To Run.
I have no real interest in the other albums on the list. Possibly will give the Chuck Berry and Miles Davis albums a listen at some point, but am in no rush to do so. |
