If you're looking for a single album Painful is a great album to start off with. It's fairly typical of their sound and the running time isn't too long, so it's fairly easy to get into. It's a very mellow album. I suppose the best way to get into it would be to just close off any distractions and focus on the introspective nature of the album, perhaps when you are in a reflective or downbeat mood, if that makes any sense. The album clicked with me on a train journey one day by myself, it's a very solitary album.

As of late it seems that all of the albums I've been listening to are only possible growers. I haven't enjoyed an album at first listen in bloody ages. It seems like everything I've listened to is pleasant, but it rarely makes an impact. It's rubbish, absolute rubbish.
Edit: Including that Mojave 3 album, actually. I have it and I've listened to it, but I can't remember a bloody thing. |
