The Magnetic Fields announced some tour dates recently. Unfortunately, no UK/Europe shows as far as I know. They're a band I'd love to see, too.

I would love to see Animal Collective too. The set they played at Pitchfork music fest had me drooling (live stream).

Slim Cessna's Auto Club is one that I added to my bucket list after listening to one of their live albums and watching a few videos. Slim and Munly have a great onstage chemistry together and their songs are always a lot of fun.

Vampire Weekend. They have no tour dates anywhere close enough to the ****hole I'm from.

Modest Mouse-- missed them in Dallas last year. One of my life's biggest disappointments.

There are many others but these are up there. I also really want to see Black Sabbath. I got into them way too late, and it would be nice to try and capture some of that.

Steely Dan.

They'll be here in August but tickets are much too expensive.

Some of you with older posts must have seen some of your bands by now.
I have seen most of the bands I really want to see. Including just in the last year I have seen several bands that I had wanted to for a long time. I can’t think of any that I haven’t seen that would be on a “bucket list”. Here are some (that I have not seen) that I’d like to see if they come to my area:
Los Lobos, Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Imelda May, Alabama Shakes, The Hives (just added to list recently)
There are plenty of others I would see. A couple that are only marginally possible are Led Zeppelin and The Boomtown Rats.

All of the artists I really want to see before I die aren't available:

Jim Morrison and the Doors
Buddy Holly ( I did see the Crickets, his back up band)
Blind Willie McTell
Frank Sinatra
The Jimi Hendrix Experience (with original Jimi Hendrix, Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell line-up)
Jelly Roll Morton
Charlie Parker
Billie Holiday
The Beatles
Robert Johnson
