This might come as a surprise, but I think most guys think it's a strange thing I don't do one night stands. This is really common. My approach is usually seen as different, but decent. Guys like you are actually the exception. At least overhere they are.

Perhaps I should add that all of my friends have boyfriends now so nothing happens whatsoever. And we're friends anyhow. I'm just saying it's a possibility for me, and for some of them. It's not obligatory.
I guess I'm just really traditional! I've only ever had sex once (I am just 16), but I was practically terrified every minute that someone might walk in, or she might end up with a baby, and her dad would be angry.....
It also seems like you think I'm having a go at you. I'm not: I'm still young and I'm still forming opinions about what's right and what's wrong, and my parents are very religious, etc. etc. etc.

Their are things called condoms/birthcontrol/planb you know. Their is also the highly scientific pull out method that many men love so much. Just be wary of the precum, because that tricky bastard has gotten girls pregnant before!

I had the "Only 99% effective!!!" crap so much in mind it made the experience horrible for me. At least she seemed to be enjoying herself, I suppose.

That's not a method. That's plain stupid.
I used a condom my first time to my... 70th time or something.
Then one broke and I decided I wouldn't rely on those anymore.
Took my girlfriend (who was in a serious depression back then, poor thing) almost a year to get herself to use birth control. So that's no actual sex for a year. Ah well. I'm not stupid .

How the **** did we end up talking about this in this discussion?

Oh yeah. Yes I go out to places where the music is good, so most of the people are just fine, as well.

Well, religious parents suck from my point of view. But I'm a very atheist person. Sorry for all you religious people out there .

I never noticed you're 16. Which probably is a compliment .
Eitherway, this is going to sound really awful because I'm only 27; When I was your age (...) I thought exactly the same. You may change. I don't know. I'm sure I did.
And you may think I'm some sort of male slut, but I'm definitely not! I lost my virginity at my 19th ànd 20th (my first time was actually around the midnight of my birthday, pure coincidence) and I didn't have actual sex with any other girl. Partly because I've had a relationship with her from my 18th to my 25th and it took me quite some time to get over her .

So all I really say is: I don't go out having sex with whomever I can, I just don't really need a relationship with someone to have sex with that person. I really do need to care a lot about her, though. But I do care a lot about my female friends, you know .

Haha... "Male slut?" I'm not being judgemental, I look up to you to see how all adults behave!!!
No, it wouldn't make sense for you to be condemned by some guy on the internet for your liking your female friends to manifest itself in a different way. So of course I won't! I'm just interested in how your idea of sex is different from the kind I've been brought up to believe.

I see this topic has taken a turn for the Lounge...

On Topic: If I were to theorise regarding the general attitude of users here towards "mainstream" music, it probably has a lot to do with jaded-ness. I know with me, if I'm in a night-club (very rarely, I much prefer being able to talk to people I'm with), I don't necessarily think that the music that's on is bad, it's just that because of my exposure to music, I can think of 10, 20 artists of the same essential genre that are far, far superior in sound. When you expose yourself to massive amounts of music, it just amplifies how incredibly narrow and unoriginal mainstream music is, which leads to a certain amount of derision for it in general. There's only so long you can put up with the constant stream of the same thing over and over again before you lose the will to put the effort into listening to it all. Eventually, it's easier to just assume nothing good will come of it. Yes, it's wrong to disregard it, but we're only human!

I think if you were to ask almost all the people who display this derision of the mainstream, you would find out that they have at least a few mainstream artists who they think are at the very least solid. It's only a few people who will adamantly maintain that if it's popular, it's not worth listening to, and I would imagine that most people agree that they're just a bunch of posers

Sex, to me, is a part of love. And Love, to me, is not neccesarily a part of a relationship.

Does that make sense in some way?

Of course. Although when you say "love", you mean that you must still like a person for who they are for you to have sex with them.
