In clothing stores, music is often played VERY loud.
So I just buy bandshirts, buy my shoes at the music store and let my mum buy me jeans. It's that bad.
I have a very good feeling you're an audiophile.

Yes. But that's not the reason I cannot exclude music.
That's autism.
There's a reason I'm referring to myself as an "Alternative Autistic Audiophile" in my profile .
I could add analog, but that's a bit too much. I'm fine with my triple A status

The Backstreet Boys are making new albums?! Anyway, whenever you feel like fist pumping (tee hee) you should probably just do that and forget about your delusions of superiority. Why be an asshole if you like what you're hearing?

I have a Westone UM3x and a Cowon X7 . Is that good enough?

I don't know mate. I'm not really into digital audio.
I had to google that to see what you meant
I have a Technics SP-15, a Teac X-1000, A Rotel RA-970BX and a pair of Vifa Vivaces.
Google that. As you see... We're listening to music in an entirely different way

I just ignore it; and often despite the fact that a lot of the mainstream pop around is crap it is often not bad to dance too. But that's its only redeeming quality in my eyes.

To be honest when I'm in a club I couldn't care less what's playing. I'm usually in the smoking area and when I'm not I'm paying attention to other things instead. I don't expect them to be playing good music anyway.

The only time I really got irritated by being forced to listen to popular music was in my last job. Being a large store the only music we could have on was the radio and I was subjected to Lady Gaga at least once every hour.

The only time I get actively annoyed when I am at a club is when I go to an apparently "Indie" establishment and all they play is Jamie T, The Coral, Paul Weller and Elbow. Not that there is anything wrong with them, just, GIVE ME SOME PROPER INDIE SH*T.
