Only you can really answer the question of whether or not you have bad taste, and when you do Dorothy, you'll find that you've known all along.

Name me a band/CD, and I'll most likely like it. I like everything by almost anybody. I do not see the lines between genres like most do, I could go from Cannibal Corpse to Katy Perry to Nickelback. Do I have a bad taste in music, or am I more "musically-inclined" than most?

The only way I think to work out the good from the average is to listen to a lot from a particular genre, then you probably can tell which things are more generic and which are more creative. As for lines between genres it's just a matter of convenience for me in exploring music, ultimately music is simply music. In fact my album collection isn't categorised by genres it's ordered chronologically.

O.k. I can buy in on 'St. Anger' and 'Risk' but you lost me at Nickelback! :p:

People have accused me of something akin to this...having 'no taste' in music, because I will listen to literally anything, and can ALWAYS** find some kind of redeeming quality in whatever I'm listening.

I'm more than willing to admit that whatever band/group/singer/rapper/whatever sucks, but at the same turn of hat I can usually point out two or more things about a particular song or album from their catalog that I really enjoy.

**exceptions (because there always are) to this statement include but are not limited to: Blood On the Dance Floor, HIM...that's about all I can think of. But man, ****ing Blood on the Dance Floor is atrocious. Oh! And Jeffree Starr. **** that guy/girl/whateverthe**** he calls himself these days.

It all depends on what music you like.

I'm late to this party. Short answer is no. Something a lot of people forget is there is no objectively good or bad music artists, it's all subjective.

I mean no one necesarily has bad taste at all. Everyone should like their music. That was my point. Everyone is different. Always why the hell else we would have rap, r&b, rock, african, japan and etc.
