It's Crazy! It's False! It's All A Dream! It's Alright!
So, Now I can link youtube finally. And, I wouldn't be mewithoutYou, so, I am going to start the thread by asking how you see Youwithoutme? So feel free to reply with song or rhyme to get to the bottom of why "Calliope crashed to the Ground". And, since we're in the river Styx.
Welcome to the Grand Illusion. I'll post the lyrics as well. Reply back and tell me why I welcomed you? In song. It's all over the planet, or is it? Welcome to the grand illusion Come on in and see whats happening Pay the price, get your tickets for the show The stage is set, the band starts playing Suddenly your heart is pounding Wishing secretly you were a star. But don't be fooled by the radio The TV or the magazines They show you photographs of how your life should be But they're just someone else's fantasy So if you think your life is complete confusion Because you never win the game Just remember that its a grand illusion And deep inside were all the same. Were all the same... So if you think your life is complete confusion Because your neighbors got it made Just remember that its a grand illusion Cause deep inside were all the same. Were all the same... America spells competition, join us in our blind ambition Get yourself a brand new motor car Someday soon well stop to ponder what on earths this spell were under We made the grade and still we wonder just who the hell we are So, who the hell are we? Better yet. Why the hell are we here? It is not rhythmic structure, but, it is chalk full of symbolism, and everything applies to the why Logos sent up a few amendments to the constitution. And, in the sense of the name universe. It is not poetry in motion, it's motion through poetry. But, there are plenty of universities. And, we cannot use both 'theology' and 'philosophy'. There is not 'logy' in 'sophy'. And, no 'philo' in 'logy'. But, there everything in the suffix 'ic'. We have to come together, right now, over me. Or, Lennon, McCartney, George, and even Ringo. And, all of your favorite songs. So, can anybody please tell me how to go about merging threads? Because, this the Grand Illusion. We have see every Grand Illusion Styx may have welcomed us, but, there are quite a few other Grand Illusions, and, here is the shocker. There is "ten more tales of Grand Illusion" Balance of Power. A whole ten album by a band who is 'supposedly Christian Metal'. I'll link you to a Way, and you should something. If you don't then join the crowd of the future history. Anything by anybody you see as the same verse. One verse. Just differently expressed. I'll let you folks do it. Because, there is a Grand Illusion, but, we to have be welcomed to it, to identify illusion as reality. And, there is no limit on what tools. But, if you are going use anyone as example of 'osophy', use either Phillip, Theodosius, or Freddie, the Queen of Mercury. And a man by the name Nietzsche. No boundaries, just evidence. Because, they all tell the Truth, and they are everywhere in everything we think we see. I hope for participation, conversation, post lyrics, or link songs, so we what we do not see. BALANCE OF POWER ALBUMS I want to help all of you to deliver a Brand New song. We need it. Not, for us, we're all okay. Everyone. And, this is a dot com. But, it's still non-prophet. Let's try. Please, for the sake of humanity? I can assure you all that I know that I am. But, I can also assure that I know we are not. So, I can show you the Way, every which Way, but, not from front to back, from back to front. So, uni verse is one turn, one song, one Word, one letter?. One Name. We have to turn everything around, upside down, inside out, or drive in "reverse". This is not a riddle. Reverse means Return. And, there is an option. It's it is either uni-verses, or one Galaxy. If you would understand the word religion, it does 'root' as rely. It identifies the. A dictionary will tell you who created the 'yod' or Y. And, it literally means bind, or tie up a ligament. Come aboard if you are willing, because I show you I know the Name and do not speak it. I'm setting for you all to knock it. I sit back and see what happens. steve eden |

Haha, I really can't stand either of those.
But Boat on the River is absolutely an Epic song by Styx. Doesn't sound like styx in any way.

Seriously, Babe?

I also have been bummed out enough. I like more a agape kind of Love song nowadays, and, everyone when they first give out the heart, it some seems to get stomped on. In my case, three times! So, I kind just am going to find a woman I can't stand, and just give her half my s**t. I am kidding, I am sort of obligated to solitude. It's kind of been a duty, because, there are a lot of self-proclaimed Messiah Jesus Jr.s out here on the religion discussion forums, and there are no prophets. So, I did profess, and, I have a tendency to eventually alienate everyone on those Theist v A theist debates. Does anyone see the irony? Or, in the concept of how the world keeps turning? Here, how about Theist v A gnostic. So, Atheist usually claims not to believe in the created gods, the a gnostic has a sort of believe, but, has doubts. But, Theists swear they know that their god is only god there is, and will smite you to hell in New York minute. MYSTERY BABYLON........You might see something on Long Island. A little city. And, some woman out there holding up something, and I can pretty much guarantee there is symbolism all over this country. Is it good or bad? I guess it depends on how much money and power you have. Not really off topic, but, we are not actually all that free. We're slaves. Just look at your bills, mortgages, car payments, CREDIT CARDS. I wonder if that adds to a number. I've never checked. I did really loved REO for a while. I listened to REO live, and Tuna piano was a freaking great album. Gary Richrath was as underrated as they come. But, they got a bit too poppy for me, as record companies tend to sell them out to 13 year old girls, they took them of the speedwagon. Boston simply had one sound, and a fantastic first album, and was huge. Not quite as far out of nowhere that Frampton appeared, but, Boston was and is a great album. Second one..ok...but they tried to make Boston II. And, it just didn't work. No Styx.. Wow...How about Kansas, or Queen? My favorite band when I really started listening to my own, instead of my brothers were Deep Purple, and Mountain, Queen I, and at the time no one had heard of them. I always liked the bands that weren't so mainstream, just as I do today. Ritchie Blackmore can play a guitar. But, keeping with theme. Here's a song that addresses the issue, and you probably have never heard of the band. Listen to it. It's a 'screeching weasel' cover, and, see if you like the sound. They are on the short list of my favorite Now list. It's a hyped up sort of bluegrass, but, tell me what you think. It's fresh. And, the message is clear. Plain simple Truth. And, people will not see it. And, we just keep on turning. peace If you've ever question beliefs that you hold you're not alone But you oughta realize that every myth is a metaphor in the case of Christianity and Judaism there exists the belief that spiritual matters are enslaved to history The Buddhists believe that the functional aspects override the myth while other religions use the literal core to build foundations with See half the world sees the myth as fact while it's seen as a lie by the other half and the simple truth is that it's none of that and somehow no matter what the world keeps turning Somehow we get by without ever learning Science and religion are not mutually exclusive In fact for better understanding we take the facts of science and apply them And if both factors keep evolving then we continue getting information but closing off possibilities makes it hard to see the bigger picture Consider the case of the women whose faith helped her make it through when she was raped and cut up left for dead in a trunk her beliefs held true It doesn't matter if it's real or not cause some things are better left without a doubt and if it works then it gets the job done Somehow no matter what the world keeps turning There. Who sees the problem. It's all the same. I does not matter. It's all in the teachings, not the myths. Making stories to make gods and idols to worship them does not work. Science has to prove the myth. The only way to do that is interpret. That is one 'gift' I have. And, it didn't come from any Name. It came from a 'feminine' source, but, it could be simply a microspirit. I had a really intense vision, and, different 'thought transmissions'. As we all do, but, when you are spontaneously awakened by what they call 'kundalini', I only what I experienced was not sought after, so I didn't sit under a Bodhi tree, and no dove came down and sat on my shoulder with a booming voice from the sky. I didn't talk to a burning bush, but I know who did talk to a burning bush, and it was a humongous turpentine tree, and not just a fire, it was more like a global volcano. 'Terebinth'......so, let me tell you about and the bees and the flowers and the trees and the moon above, and a thing called Love.... I think you find a tree, a seed, a kernel, and every other computer jargon that qualifies as forbidden fruit It's a beast of good and evil knowledge. That is for sure. Adam, where out thou? I can't see you. What did you do? Where's my body? I can't run with this Voice! I'll just cut the legs off the snake. No comments please. It's just an attempt at humor, no malice intent. But, it causes a ruckus when you think about that way. We're really smart. I know where they came from. Exactly. But, it was me, so, I have no clue exactly what is. I just know how it works. And, that is how it came as the Name to one person at a time, and we don't know, because, it's in all of us together. That's the whole concept people. Just a forum, and as even forums go, it's set up backwards. And, the www? wow wow wow. Here's a joke, and I was a blond, so no offense. Why did the blond get fired from the M & M factory? She kept throwing the out the W's. Anyone see the hint? I want to start a parody thread. So, if anyone writes parodies. Follow me, I am the Way. peace |

There is a boat load of symbolism in this song, and this guy is a master story teller. And, he's not limited to religion, I'm pretty sure he's actually enlightened. Everyone is, they can't see it from the outside. Dig deep, and look inside. You have see yourself. That's all you can see. And, then I see a reply that goes. ha ha ha......? hm hm hm Through mostly vacant streets a Baker from the outskirts of his town earned his living peddling sweets from a ragged cart he dragged around. The clever Fox crept close behind, kept an ever watchful eye for a chance to steal a Ginger spice cake or a Boysenberry pie. Looking down was the hungry Crow: When the time is right I'll strike and condescend to the earth below and take whichever treat I like! The moment the Baker turned around to shoo the Fox off from his cart, the Crow swooped down and snatched a shortbread cookie and a German chocolate tart. Using most unfriendly words that the village children had not yet heard, the Baker shouted threats by Canzonet to curse the crafty bird: You rotten wooden mixing spoon! Why, you midnight winged raccoon! You'd better bring those pastries back, you no good, burnt-black-macaroon!!! The Fox approached the tree where the bird was perched, delighted, in his nest: Brother Crow, don't you remember me? It's your old friend Fox with a humble request. If you could share just a modest piece, seeing as I distracted that awful man... This failed to persuade the Crow in the least, so the Fox rethought his plan: Then, if your lovely song would grace my ears, or, to even hear you speak would ease my pains and fears. The Crow looked down with the candy in his beak. Your poems of wisdom, my Good Crow, what a paradise they bring! This flattery pleased the proud bird so, he opened his mouth and began to sing: Your subtle acclamation's true, best to give praise where praise is due. Every Rook and Jay in the Corvidae's been Raven about me too! They admire me, one and all... must be the passion in my 'Caw', my slender bill, known through the Escadrille, my fierce, commanding claw... [the cookie drops, Fox retrieves it -- there is commotion in the town as the Baker gives chase. Crow is humiliated, realizes he's been tricked, continues his song] Ah, I've got a Walnut-brownie-brain and Molasses in my veins, crushed graham cracker crust, my powdered Sugar funnel cake cocaine. Let the Crescent Cookie rise! These Carob-colored Almond eyes would rest to see my Cashew Princess in the Swirling Marble Sky. We'll rest upon the Knee where all divisions cease to be and rootbeer float in our Banana Boat across the Tapioca Sea. When letting all attachments go is the only prayer we know. May it be so, may it be so, may it be so, oh... This is good song, if just to see how someone can turn a childrens into what I think is a masterpiece among many. Anyway for those haven't heard or the fable. Tell me you think it's quality creativity anyway. And, please I think I saw something about religion? peace |

The line-up of Dennis De Young, James Young, Chuck Panozzo, John Panozzo and especially Tommy Shaw is one of the great rock line-ups Of the other bands mentioned I love Boston and Kansas but not crazy on REO despite having some of their albums. But Styx were the best band of the bunch. |

And Kansas is on the very short list. They were my favorite for a while. Leftovertue is probably still my favorite album of all time I'm going youtube one for me and you I'm woven in a fantasy I can't believe the things I see The path that I have chosen Has led me to a wall And with each passing day I feel a little more Like something dear was lost It rises now before me A dark and silent barrier between All I am And all that I would ever want to be It's just a travesty Towering Marking off the boundaries my spirit Would erase To pass beyond is what I seek I fear that I may be too weak And those are few Who've seen it through To glimpse the other side The promised land is waiting Like a maiden That is soon to be a bride The moment is a masterpiece The weight of indecision's in the air It's standing there The symbol and the sum of all that's me It's just a travesty Towering Blocking out the light and blinding me I want to see Gold and diamonds cast a spell It's not for me, I know it well The riches that I seek Are waiting on the other side There's more that I can measure In the treasure of the love that I can find And though it's always been with me I must tear down the wall and let it be All I am And all that I was ever meant to be In harmony Shining true and smiling back At all who wait to cross There is no loss My favorite song of all time peace |

Both Man in the Wilderness (what a brilliant display by Tommy Shaw on that song) and Castle Walls are the very best two, I love the lyrics on Castle Walls as well. Of the early Styx albums I think The Serpent is Rising is the best but I still love the song "A Day" off the Styx II album with the long forgotten John Curulewski on vocals.
