Does smoking Marijuana make music better?
I always thought that being stoned made music better when I was smoking a lot, but ever since I stopped smoking as much that thought has been validated even more. Since I'm sober most of the time, My occasional toke these days just really makes me think "damn, music really does sound better when I'm high." It enhances your senses and really deepens the way you hear music. It causes you to notice little things that you normally wouldn't, makes every little aspect of the music really stand out and just causes you to hear it in a way that you normally wouldn't. Music is still amazing when you're sober, I'm not saying it isn't. Maybe weed really doesn't make music better, maybe it just causes you to realize how great it is even more than you would when you're sober.
What do you guys think? |

I find that when i smoke and listen to music, I can actually hear every single part of the music playing individually. If I focus, i can do the same when I'm sober, but I do think it's much easier to hear stoned. Actually, i think weed in general makes focusing on some things easier (except math).

Whenever I am investigating new music, I like to drink a beer or two.
It somehow makes me more open minded, it makes the music more intense. I hear things I might overhear on a completely sober first listen.

Haha you're right. I think it goes both ways.
Being someone who rarely smokes anymore, I'm not really biased on the subject. I dont have the "Mary Jane is the only girl you need" mentality. I really do think that weed does something that causes your brain to perceive music in a different way, I'm sure there is some science to it. Last edited by blastingas10; 11-15-2011 at 05:38 PM. |
