I'm sure that if you smoked more back then, you'd be considerably less well off than you are now!

It doesn't bother me that much. How little I care about how my life turns out astounds even myself.

There are plenty of very successful people who smoke. If you're completely sober, that's great. But don't be one of those people who get drunk and demonize marijuana while they do it.

FETCHER. 12-17-2011 07:24 PM

I'm just going to take a stab in the dark here, but have you ever listened to actual good trance whilst stoned. *awesome*

That shotgun blast must have had one hell of a kickback.

Ska Lagos Jew Sun Ra 12-17-2011 07:59 PM

Ah, but now we have the answer to the question.

Kurt, who shot you? Was it Courtney Love or El Duce?

Necromancer 12-17-2011 08:12 PM

The US kinda inherited John Lennon, so we would be more than glad, to let the UK have Cobain.

If we can erase the concept of UK discovering Hendrix from the record books, you can have the whole Seattle movement.

They had "Bush". And gave them to us. "enough's, enough" already.

blastingas10 12-18-2011 04:29 AM

I guess in Americas defense we could say that someone like Little Richard discovered Hendrix.

Curtis whatsisname?

from what stories I heard, that guy bullied Jimi a lot

Curtis Knight. Yes he did. At one point, for some reason, Jimi didn't have a guitar. Curtis bought him one and in exchange Jimi was his little musical slave.

Sounds like a fair deal. Without that guitar, he might not have produced the incredible music that made him famous!

blastingas10 12-19-2011 06:36 PM

Just played my guitar while I was high for the first time in a long time. And wow, it's just a hell of a lot more fun when I'm high. That's saying a lot because it is very fun when I'm sober. I've been working on a new fingerstyle piece. I was having some difficulties when I was sober, but after I smoked, most of those difficulties went away.

Being high has made me feel it a little more and made it to where I could play this cross-rhythm better than I could sober.

landed87 12-21-2011 01:58 AM

honestly i think it varies depending on your mood....sometimes when sober i can hear better than anything after a redbull

Howard the Duck 12-21-2011 02:12 AM

Red Bull gives me palpitations

simonbrew 12-28-2011 07:34 AM

its hard to say but i guess when youre stoned u hear the song slightly differently to if u had heard it sober

Howard the Duck 12-28-2011 08:19 AM

the answer is still "no, it doesn't, really"

I don't think it's as clear cut as that. It changes the way you perceive the music, and there are certain things I enjoy a lot more when I'm high. I can appreciate almost anything good when I'm not high, but some things are patently more enjoyable to me when I'm stoned.

I smoked for the first time in ages last week, and it was an absolute joy to experience music in that state once again. It's a different, but wonderful experience - at least to me.

Chanchibar 12-28-2011 06:35 PM

I don't smoke weed anymore, but in the past I noticed that it's a different listening experience when you are high. Better? I don't know if I would say that, though.

FETCHER. 12-28-2011 07:32 PM

Smoke better weed if you think music's the same high.

hey blaster.....you got any for me? www it to me please? I miss it. It is such great medicine. And, it makes more than music better. It makes everything better. But, the sh*tbags who rule the planet don't want people feeling better. Or think for that matter. We may realize that they are actually poisoning us, creating nice little disorders, so they can make the drugs that fuc*k us up worse, and make more to treat the f*ck up the other drugs caused. And, now the drug companies are putting fluorine in medicines, so they can clog everything up with fuc*king poisonous salt, and tell us we have high cholesterol. We need Lipitor for the cholesterol that is fairly essential and beneficial, and then they lower it, so it won't give us a heart attack....lmao....first it was 200, now they want it lower, so they can more powerful statins......antifungals for killing the beneficial fungus, and then antibiotics created with fungus that can eat through concrete! /But, in America, insurance companies won't cover long term use of antifungals that kill the concrete eating fungus, so, we get to be eaten alive by fungus.

This world is Truly f*cked up. We need a revolution. Wake up! This rant is not off-topic, because, I am begging for someone to mail me some weed!

Ah man. I need a hit or a dozen. I don't know anyone in this shi*thole town, or anyone that sells weed, and the bourbon is not cutting it. But, there is a bar here, where you can walk in and get bombarded by crack dealers. They seem to let the crack infiltrate quite nicely, because, it is fuc*king destructive 4 second high. 20 seconds for 20 bucks. That's a deal.

I'm gonna stop, and start a thread called 'who will mail me some weed to enjoy my music better.:band:

I don't feel good. I was one of the lucky ones who was born between 1955-1962 who were inoculated with organisms contained in the polio vaccine from a tainted monkey liver! I did not get polio, but, I have been unhealthy all my life thanks to that f*ckhead Jonas Salk. They've taken of the vaccine situation. They only cause autism now.

Did I mention that marijuana is the best medicine ever created? And, not by Pfizer. I think a higher power was involved. Mother Earth. My brother, God rest his soul, was the greatest horticulturalist in the world when it came to the intricacies of perfect cultivation. His weed would make Justin Bieber sound good.

I miss him. He overdosed on Oxycontin and Seconal. He was tainted as well. And, it really caused some problems.

If anyone knows hydroponics, PM me how to access info. I'll grow the s*it in my closet.:) Seriously. Here that government men? Big Brother? I'm gonna start a revolt through musicbanter.com, and we're gonna riot. Riot folk. My next thread.

Cause you're the fu*cking terrorists. You're damn lucky I don't have a nuke. Mister global fascist corporate pigs concocting your little schemes to fu*cking ethnic cleanse this world for your little private fu*cking Utopia. You're gonna be history, cause I'm getting some weed, and I'm gonna jam and plot.

I hope someone's getting a kick out of this stress release. Not you little secret society of lily white trash who oppress the whole fu*cking world with your greed, and quests of world domination. And, you called Bin Laden the terrorist. Remember, 9-12, when he said he didn't have anything to do with 9-11, but, if you wanted to give him the credit, he'd take it. That news disappeared instantly. How about Noam Chompsky. You silenced, he didn't cause a ruckus, so you didn't kill him. Like Martin Luther King, Malcolm X. And, anyone else who didn't play ball.

I'm stressed man.:) But, I agree with you blaster. Weed makes every musician, poet, thinker, or even Spiritualists delve a bit deeper into their creative potential. Where would music be without the good hallucinogens.

The beatles would still be singing 'She Loves You', instead of Glass Onion.

And country and western. I back smashed one, and guess what I heard?

He got his wife back, his truck back, his dog back, got out of jail, and was sober.:)

Even Lady Ga Ga tokes a few, and actually writes her own music. It sucks, but, you gotta respect her. If Elvis would have laid off the booze and opiates, he could have possibly even written a song.

Fat Bastard on a moonwalk.

I'm done. Ignore it. Don't get your undies in a bunch and sling the mud. I'm just letting out stress, and, dreaming of a blunt. And, a rocket launcher.

I will post a good song, if it is on youtube. It's an ode.

You tube has it with lyrics even. Light up, everybody!

From Bagdad to Baltimore, a world-wide war
The tactic of destruction as a double-bladed sword
As the contracts hit the billions and the billions hit the street
In protest of the slaughter, getting slaughtered police
We grow to love our neighbors then to stab them in the back
In a crooked game of power with a deck that's always stacked
The goal's to struggle through your labor just to find your place in line
While the profiteers repeat the pattern, holding down rewind
And if the foreground's so destructive think what's happening behind
If I had a rocket launcher, my place would be defined

I watch the television, see the headlines now and then
Slogan after slogan, repeating the refrain
We trust these movie-stars of media, and we're fetishizing fame
As little tidbits of reality go flashing across the screen
They say that everything is even it's all following the plan
The dead are stacked in piles being bulldozed in the sand
There's nothing different about it, it's just like all the rest
Limbless children without parents, homeless cancer-ridden vets
They try to cloak it all in logos, every day another myth
The news reporters smiles, gaining stories from the death
What they did to Southeast Asia they are doing here today
If I had a rocket launcher, I'd make somebody pay

Down at Central Booking in the over crowded cells
The poor are housed together fending for themselves
Against the prison guard's union, the criminals with keys
Calling punishment "correction", doing anything they please
Locked away inside this concrete cage all hope is torn apart
As the guards complete the cycle breaking down the human heart
Until the verdict is not guilty or the final lever's pulled
Still the circle is unbroken and the cells are always full
You know the war across the ocean? Well here's the one at home
From the ghetto to the graveyard, the path is set in stone
The duty done by prisons is maintaining poverty
If I had a rocket launcher, I'd abolish slavery

Time continues slowly sometimes dangerously still
Everyday a new beginning finds you staring up the hill
Another war another clearcut, another killer cop
A society collapsing with the ticking of the clock
You'd think there'd never be an outlet, never something so immense
That it could break this spell of silence and the deeds it represents
But between the benefactor's and the people beaten back
It's evident by history that something's gonna crack
And when it does there's only action, the changing of the hands
Aggression laying waste to all the best laid plans
And don't blame me if I'm smiling when it all comes tumbling down
If I had a rocket launcher, I would make each second count

Smoke one, and you can relate better to the message.

For me, it makes very specific genres of music better: Trance, EBM, Chillout, Trip-hop, and dubstep are what I listen to high. I find it makes metal more grating, or scary depending

This. Some songs can be too intense aswell depending on their genre.

I find blues rock (The Allman Brother et al) to be the most satisfying listening experience whilst high.
