It's like the difference from a man sucking a cock once a week and a man getting it in the ass every day.

I am going to tell you right now that that was a poor and offensive analogy, and you'd better rethink your choice of words before you open a huge can o' worms, pal.

I don't know what type of person anyone is on this forum but I have a reputation to uphold. People look up to me and if I make too many mistakes then the foundation is watered.

My friends do drugs, drink etc but I don't. Because of this (and many other things) my friends go to me when they have problems. I've earned their respect and trust.

I'm a person that helps others but never does anything so other people will like me. I never let myself turn into a coward in life. I do what I want to do and nobody can tell me not to.

I'm the one who rolls the dices. Everyone else in my life (family, friends) follow. It might seem arrogant and cocky but that is only what people have called me all my life. In the end I get what I want.

Why am I posting all this? I don't know.
If you choose not to drink then I certainly respect that decision, but to go and call people who enjoy a couple of drinks with friends at the weekend a coward and look down on them is stretching things a bit too far. There is nothing wrong with that at all and it's no more harmful than spending your day playing video games or eating tons of chocolate. Yes people succumb to drug abuse and serious alcohol abuse and that's because they just don't know how to handle them.

EDIT:

Ok that was uncalled for.

Stop taking the moral high ground.

Neither do we.

Maybe I'm wrong. All I know is that the people in my life that do take drugs respect me more than they do other people that take drugs. I don't let the fact that they do drugs interfere with our friendship though.

You don't need to refrain from drugs to earn other people's respect. It might be a different type of culture where you live and people might have a different stance on drugs so you might have a point, but here whether you do drugs or not you're respected for who you are regardless, unless you really get fucked up on them.

I live in Texas. There are so many drug addicts that anyone who takes drugs even if just a little will not be respected. Maybe it does have to do with where I live. I don't know. All I know is that certain people look up to me like a father and brother who makes no mistakes. It might suck that I can't do **** but if I let them down who are they going to go to?

I don't know man. Maybe because my friends take drugs and I have to carry their problems on my back all the time I associate them as cowards and maybe I'm wrong. If doing drugs doesn't interfere with your life then do as you please.

Coming from someone who has been more critical in the past of substance use than you are now, I'm glad I dropped that attitude, because I'm even disappointed in how you express your view on the topic.
