This actually reminds me of a Guitar World article I read in high school. It was a list of the worst guitar solos of all time, and had a bunch of icons to add to the selections to show why they were bad. One of the icons was a cartoon head which was to represent "Involves C.C. DeVille".
I usually keep my magazines, even though that had to have been 03-05, so I may try to dig it out and see. I don't agree that C.C. DeVille is the worst or anything, but I was just reminded of the article. Gave me a chuckle. Carry on.

We actually were talking about Buckethead for most of the thread. Erasertime thought he was more emotional than Hendrix for some reason. |

At least it was more debatable than C.C. DeVille Vs. Hendrix. Pissed me off when after pages and pages the thread title got and discussion abruptly changed. I think erasertime was a troll or at least making strange assertions but I think the conversation was valid. I wish someone would change the name of the thread back to Jimi vs. Buckethead. It's going to continue to confuse people that see this thread why there's some 20 pages about Buckethead vs. hendrix before it dissolved into something else.
For the record, there's more to Buckethead than the stereotype lets on. It's not a completely farfetched argument. I'd say, sure, Jimi wins, but it's not a total blowout defeat for Buckethead. He's one of the top guitarists of all time himself and there's room for debate. |
