What albums are you looking forward to in 2013?
 

I tried somewhere to post what I just found out, but it's only for 2011. So I figured I would start this one and be proactive.

I pretty much just saw in my news feed that the Saddest Landscape posted a wee bit of info about their next release. For one, they'll be working with the same producer from You Will Not Survive, and two:

Needless to say, I'm very eager to hear the end result.

Honestly so far all I know about is Of Montreal's Paralytic Stalks. I can't say I know what else is coming yet.

Queens of the Stone Age, Baroness, Pinback is all I can think of at the moment

Killing Joke are supposedly releasing a new album next year, other than that I've got no idea, I'm still trying to get to grips with 2011.

Apparently Ian Curtis is teaming up with Charlie Parker and Béla Bartók for some kind of grindcore/trip-hop/bluegrass album. What can I say, the doomsyear is going to be a crazy time.

Really wish I knew when this was going to come out.

New Outkast.

I don't know exactly what albums are coming out next year but Two Gallants are releasing a new album which I'm really looking forward to. Godspeed You! Black Emperor is also supposedly writing new material so I'm kinda hoping they release it next year

Don't know that many albums for 2012, but here's the few that I am aware of:

Sigh - In Somniphobia
Diablo Swing Orchestra - Pandora's Piñata
Wintersun - Time (Cause let's face it, it won't be coming out this year)
Busdriver - Beaus$Eros
Deltron 3030 Event II (Del keeps on saying it will be out by this year's end, but I've seen no marketing for it, and I doubt it's going to be a silent release, so I'll say it's out next year)
Devin Towsend - Z²

I've heard rumors of new Nile, Neurosis, Meshuggah, and Candlemass albums, but I don't have anymore info so I can't say for sure, but the six I listed are ones that are at least on my radar.

Pig Destroyer...Harvey is out and new drummer Jarvis is in. I hope they don't end up sounding too much like Misery Index.

This. Also The Mars Volta, Mouse on Mars, and Crudo (Mike Patton and Dan the Automator). All I know of so far - and none are confirmed.

Guided by Voices has one coming out in January that I'm definitely curious about. Also quite excited for new Outkast

I eagerly await new stuff from Baroness and Gallows. That Saddest Landscape album should be good as always. I would love to hear new music from Genghis Tron, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, F*ck Buttons, and Dillinger Four in the coming year as well, those bands are all due for some new releases.

Rush- Clockwork Angles should be released in 2012. The two singles they have released already have been amazing...

Based on rumors and past news, albums from Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Meshuggah, Tool, MGMT, Sigur Ros, and the Mars Volta would be sweet!

Black Sabbath should also be worthwhile, even after 30 years, it's still ****ing Sabbath.

I'm with you on that one.

I'm also looking forward to the new Pumpkins album. An interview with Billy on Stereogum got me a little excited. This is the last time, though. Seriously, if it's not awesome I'm giving up hope.

I forgot about that one. It's still part of Teargarden By Kaleidyscope isn't it? I'm looking forward to it all the same.

Burnt Umber?

I honestly thought no one else knew Burnt Umber is a color. I used it in 8th grade to color in an art project once.

Umber is nice, but I like ochre.

I believe Franz Ferdinand is releasing a new album in 2012? I think Paul Weller is as well? If so then these two are the ones I'm looking forward to.

It started out that way, but they scrapped all of those songs and decided to make a brand new stand alone album. According to Billy, everyone who has heard it has said it's a return to form. Several people apparently said it was good enough for Billy to drop the SP name and officially make the new lineup its own band. Normally, all of this would just be your everyday Corgan hype, but the interview he gave sounded very genuine to me. I recommend reading it.

Don't know if it's been mentioned or if it's brings any interest to anybody, but Circa Survive will be releasing a new album this month called Violent Waves

The album artwork is pretty sweet, as is with all Circa Survive releases. Really excited to hear how this one turns out.

Apparently the album is on Youtube, but I refuse to listen to it until I can get a hold of my own copy.

I had heard somewhere that Andre 3000 is to release his first ever solo LP this year.
Was this just net rumour or not, because I've heard nothing else about it.

Also, were there not to be a new At The Drive In album?

Alanis's new album drop this week, I think. Or next week. Either way, I can't wait to get it. :)
