Ufomammut Usnea Lycus Church An amazing night of pure doom!...what a treat to not be he only person in the room wearing all black and a shirt with Satanic imagery i was able to purchase four amazing gig posters all signed and numbered....and had a really good conversation with the Vita...the drummer of Ufomammut....about everything from present day Italy to their amazing art collective Malleus....which ended with a firm handshake and a laugh as he thanked me for all the money i've given him local band Church started it off....they were pretty good....female fronted doom metal....and she could really hold her own.....a little dramatic for my taste Lycus was a real treat....really heavy funeral doom...with a hilarious sample about killing yourself and leaving Ayn Rand propaganda littered around your house I 100% agree with Jaszoon on Usnea.....seriously mind blowing doom/black metal...loud as fuck and just incredibly heavy....also a group of real stand up guys.... then the shit got real Ufomammut was by far one of the best live bands i have ever seen....just played flawlessly and were very humble to the audience...there really is something to be said about seeing doom metal live...they also had these amazing pedal boards that change their guitars into almost moog sounds....seriously amazing....also the bass players set list consisted of nothing but upside down crosses and pentagrams i highly suggest you catch these giants while their still small |

Tonight I saw Earth, Wind & Fire with Chicago. There's no denying that both bands are filled with skilled musicians who played well. There's also no denying that both of them bored the shit out of me. On the plus side there were some amusing drunk people around, including the woman who ran by me laughing with a shit stain up and down the crack of the tight white jeans she was wearing.

Earth, Wind & Fire bled into the gig I was at maybe a football field away. September played while Killer Mike was talking about race relations.
