"Deadmau5" is still a better name than "Limp Bizkit". Don't be embarassed.

Yay! From now on, all intros must be I, IV, V.

This isn't a particularly original answer, but the clattering synth dominated start to Baba O'Riley always reminds me of Pete Townshend's brilliance.

this is another one of many faves, of coz the drumbeat is ripped off some Phil Spector song (Be My Baby? Then He Kissed Me?), but when the guitars come in, i get shivers:-

My personal favourite:

The Only Ones - Another girl, another planet (live) - YouTube

You've gotta love his voice.

The Booooiiiiiinnnnngggggy bits in Oh Yeah by Can are responsible for getting me into that whole Tago Mago album.

Oh and the really cool drum beat too.

I'm not an enormous fan of Muse, but the "Knights of Cydonia" intro makes me listen to that song every time.

Even if at the beginning it really does remind me a little of another song - which likewise draws me in every single time: "Somebody Super Like You" from the movie Phantom of the Paradise.

^^I love Phantom of the Paradise

my 2nd fave De Palma after Sisters
