I've decided to go ten.

1. Who's Next-The Who

2. Dark Side of The Moon-Pink Floyd

3. Avalon-Roxy Music

4. Quadrophenia-The Who

5. OK Computer-Radiohead

6. Close To The Edge-Yes

7. All Mod Cons-The Jam

8. Roxy Music-Roxy Music

9. Selling England By The Pound-Genesis

10. A Thousand Suns-Linkin Park

I listen to all these albums about once every 2-3 months. I've don't like overlistening to albums too much as I like having that sense of newness when possible.

As for ratings they are all 9.5's to 10's.

Nothing, I was just a bit confused about your slightly odd range of genres, it seemed you liked prog and hard rock, but also nu-metal. There's nothing wrong with that, it's a matter of taste. And if you prefer "A Thousand Suns" to "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", that's up to you (and I'd probably agree with you).

Oh ok I get you know. The list is a little eclectic but to be honest I prefer that variation to say, a list with only 10 Metal albums or 10 pop albums for example.

I see where you're coming from, and this is why I hate Rolling Stone magazine, their "Best Albums Of All Time" list seems to comprise mostly of Beatles albums and 60's pop.
