El-P has captured the nastiness of New York perfectly.
The song is great, I just don't like the way EL-P says the hook.

I agree, the way he says it is somewhat annoying and grating.

curren$y and wiz khalifa should do that since they are so into that album
my homies barely started checking that album just because those 2 referenced it so many times in an interview but my first time was in 9th grade when my bro would play the hell out that album at home

I couldn't picture them 2 on an album full of soul and jazz, haha! First time I heard about 'em was on my trip to the US. Had DJ Aliyo's OYE! Vol. 1 on repeat, then about 50 minutes in, Camp Lo's, "Bubblin'" bursted in through Nas', "Understanding". Ski Beatz sampled the intro for Anita Baker's, "Caught In the Rapture". One of his best beats, tbh. Well, that and, "Luchini"! To bad, "Bubblin", was a demo. Would love to hear it in all it's glory in 320kbps or .wav for that matter. Have you heard Camp Lo now?

You couldn't imagine those 2 rapping on those beats?
All Curren$y does is rap on jazzy beats because Ski Beatz is his main producer & Wiz already did a Camp Lo song and so has Curren$y check em out:

Wiz Khalifa - Won't Land - YouTube

Curren$y - Raps & Hustles - YouTube

The Moody Blues - To Our Children's Children's Children
The Moody Blues - On the Threshold of a Dream
Fountains of Wayne - Welcome Interstate Managers
Interpol - Antics
Clutch - Blast Tyrant

The only one with a weak track is the opening to Interpol, which didn't fit in with the rest of the album. Fountains of Wayne had one weak track too. Other than those, everything is perfect.
