It's always hard to be definitive - especially only 5! After nearly 50 years of listening to music though, these are the ones I always go back to...
David Bowie - Heroes Bill Nelson - Quit Dreaming and Get on the Beam Beatles - Revolver Brian Eno - Another Green World Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica |

Beach Boys - Smiley Smile Cream - Fresh Cream Byrds - Sweetheart of the Rodeo Curren$y - The Stoned Immaculate (totally left-field from everything else that's listed but this is hip hop at it's finest) |

The only problem with Fantastic Damage is Ill Bill, whereas Cancer 4 Cure has a few more weak spots (Danny Brown's verse, "If you kill him I won't tell", the length of a few intro's and outros)

Ill Bill was the 1 point off of 100. 99/100 for FanDam. Ill Bill.... what an un-necessary feature. "gettin my dick sucked by cokeheads...fantastic damage.... what?!!?!?" derpppppppp shut the **** up!! I didn't mind If You Kill Him I Won't Tell. It's one of the weaker tracks, yes. But I don't mind it. It's a really clever, sad story and its also good for social commentary on the whole "no snitches" lifestyle. The New York way of life seems so damn depressing and ugly. El-P has captured the nastiness of New York perfectly. |

You damn right. That's one of the albums I can just play right through, and rap along man. Well, not really rap along, cause they use so much slang! I don't think anyone has deciphered their demo, "Bubblin'". Ski Beatz is a legend on that beat. Someone needs to remake it! Haha!
