Tragic/depressing lyrics and happy music?
Hi guys!
I'm looking for music with tragic/depressing lyrics but "happy" music :p: For example: Hollywood Undead - Bullet The Devil Makes Three - Old Number Seven No heavy metal or stuff like that xD (excuse my english, im swedish :p:) But if anyone knows a song like that write here :) |
Mmmm, Breathe Again by The Reign of Kindo fits, I guess. In a way.
It's really not a really "happy" song, but it's an elegant ballad. |
Just about any song off Of Montreal's Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer would do it.

This is tragic.. (There are a number of different artist that cover "Last Kiss"). Early 60s music.

Unfortunately, all I could find was a live recording of this but at least the sound quality is good. Pretty cheery music but the lyrics are about a very bitter divorce.

Let Down by Radiohead is the first thing that comes to mind. Depressing lyrics but the instrumentals are kind of uplifting.

The Cure - 'Close To Me' is the first song that comes into my head. It's basically a song about wishing you were dead set to a groovy bassline and upbeat instrumentation.
