Genres You Dislike/Conversion

I thought I could. But this year people were absolutely Lyrical about some hip hop album and I just thought it was as ****ty as all the other hip-hop. What was his name again? Almost everyone here seemed to like it, even people who usually aren't into hip-hop that much.

I'll listen to your links later to see what I'll think, but I already know I'll prefer the roots.
I even used one of their samples in a video

Yes, I cut out what everyone who likes hip-hop would call 'the good bit', but you get the idea.
The tapedecks on the video are mine, a friend made the video after he repaired those machines for me.

Yes, but I try to talk about hip-hop with TomClancy and I don't have to actually LIKE hip-hop to talk about it? I'm just answering his question and giving him an example of the fact that I do in fact understand why the Roots are a good 'kind' of hip-hop.

So what is your reason to treat me the way you just did? Cause I don't see myself doing anything to annoy you or anyone in particular. It just seems a little strange to just.. Yell stuff at people. Why would you?

One day you may have to realize and accept that your words annoy people whether you mean to annoy or not. They annoy me. I had no intention to "yell"

I like your little clip of the Roots song, but I haven't heard enough hip hop to get beyond not liking most of it, and not knowing what qualities about hip hop its fans most appreciate.

emoticons. I don't feel annoyed by them at all. If I did feel annoyed by what someone said to the point that I didn't like reading his words, I'd stop reading rather than fault the person for writing.

Right, I really need to know what this album was! I get that all the time, where you are "supposed" to like something because everyone else gets it, like with the "Tyler, The Creator" stuff.

As I said, I can understand you not really enjoying it that much. I would post what I consider to be a more challenging good/bad linkage but I feel you would pretty much know which is "better", even if you don't enjoy it. So I will just post some favourites

Hopefully at least one link will go a step towards making you change your ruddy mind!
