I can only find a few videos from Jaki.... seeing what I think. So far I see nothing that Bonham could have not matched and played back with relative ease.

Maybe I am missing something, or the ones up are just a small taste. But I do not see him being any better than Bonham.

The four highlighted are the classics and easily amongst the greatest rock albums ever recorded. I`ve often said the Doors debut is the greatest debut ever released along with the Led Zeppelin debut and the Jimi Hendrix debut.
ok got the rest of their discog upon your insistence

i still think the debut's overrated, though

You should be more than qualified in suggesting as to who is the best drummer of your generation Jack Pat or from your favorite era and genre as well.

It doesn't really matter who is the best anyway. Your personal preference and opinion is all that counts.

Anyone else read the thread title and think "Oh no way he died!" only to realize you know he died 30 years ago.

It gives that impression, but yesterdays date when the thread came on was the date he died back in 1980. Basically this should have been mentioned in the Led Zeppelin thread, instead of a new thread started for it.

I actually did. I knew he had died years ago, so I figured this couldn't be a thread saying that he had just died. I figured it was about Jimmy Paige, then I was like, "Wait, Jimmy Paige is Jimmy Paige". Fail.

Hahaha that's awesome I just listened to that album last week and it is perfect because The Doors somehow manage to fit into this thread... just like how they just somehow managed to fit into that song!
