The Soft Parade easily the weakest album, LSD enchanced most of Jims albums but this is the perfect example where it did the complete opposite. Morrison Hotel a good album but not one of the greats.

The four highlighted are the classics and easily amongst the greatest rock albums ever recorded. I`ve often said the Doors debut is the greatest debut ever released along with the Led Zeppelin debut and the Jimi Hendrix debut.

I seen a video clip on TV with Bonham playing the drums with his hands, man I bet he could play the hell out of a set of bongos and other types of percussion instruments.
"It made my hands hurt" when he hit/crashed the cymbals bare handed though.

I don't think that most people (fans) really get to see the full extent of most artist talent and ability (behind the scene) other than what is popular in the media and record sales.

No one ever added (accent) displacement in a syncopation back-beat any better than Bonham could. His sense of timing was impeccable and always seemed to be concentrated toward the basic off-beat style created by John Bohnam himself. His sense of timing along with his ability out measured in comparison to any other drummer in my opinion.

My favorite drummer is Liebezeit, but... as for the best... I don't really feel qualified in stating who that might be.
