Really guy? Are serious or just trolling? You don't have to be outside of the mainstream to play alternative music.

Exactly.... I mean, most wouldn't argue that Nirvana or Alice in Chains weren't alternative / indie, but they were pretty much thrust into the mainstream... and what about Radiohead, according to the "mainstream = not alternative" philiosophy they are and out and out pop band...

Their best video ever? Thank you to Sweet nothing for bringing this to my attention. I still don't quite understand how they did this but wow...

Yeh I was really amazed when I saw it too awhile back. Definitely their best video yet, or at least on par with The Scientist. It greatly makes up for the failure that was the Viva la Vida video.

Viva la vida wasn't half as bad as Violet hill. But 90% of their videos are truly horrible. I'm not sure if they don't have a flare for the visual or just have extremely bad luck picking directors.

Edit: Ok, Don't panic was also pretty cool...

Meh, I prefer Violet Hill to Viva la Vida. Life In Technicolor II was great, and Lovers In Japan was pretty good but a bit corny. And I've always liked the simplicity of Yellow, and the colors of Speed of Sound. All the vids from A Rush of Blood To the Head, and almost all the ones from X&Y were very average and forgettable.

Yeah Coldplay weren't known for good vids, other than Yellow, which was just a simple thing. They gradually had people putting more effort into them, and their latest batch of tracks seem to be the best. Scientist was a great video to watch and also to think about, I liked Fix You for personal reasons, but other than that there wasn't much too impressive.

Oh, Don't Panic was a great little vid.

Wut? Life in technicolour II has a vid? And Lovers in Japan? I'm so behind on things...

Trouble was pretty good too, but yea, it all went down hill after that...:\

Lovers in Japan incorporates a lot of what you'll see played behind the band when they perform the song live.
