It's actually my fav Coldplay album, I love the very relaxed feel to it. I can send it to you if you want?

NO, Coldplay have grown more mature with each passing album. More so on Viva La Vida. And to the argument they do sound somewhat like Radiohead but it's mainly because that was their inspiring band. X&Y was theyre biggest attempt to become like Radiohead but failed, also I think it's their worst record. And if you listen closely High Speed off Parachutes sounds very similar to Subterranean Homesick Alien off Radiohead's Ok Computer.

Yeah, I agree that X&Y is their worst. There are a few good songs on it like Talk, Fix You and of course Speed of Sound.

Speed of Sound will always be my personal favorite by Coldplay

only reasons being, it's the song; next to Clocks that got me started on Coldplay.

Violet Hill and Viva La Vida are good too, off their new album obviously.

Swallowed In The Sea is the best off X&Y in my opinion

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

Of course X&Y has good songs like Sqaure One, A Message, and of course they always have great singles but as a whole its very dull.

But their new album really makes up for their last.

Almost fooled me there.
Parachutes had a real direction, save the last two tracks. After that it was all downhill.
