They are OK. Don't think they are boring or something. New album is not far from previous. Violet Hills, Viva la Vida, Lost, good songs.
Maybe 2009. is a bit early for new album. I read somewhere that they will use some songs that they didn't put on this album. |

Coldplay was a fixture on mainstream radio stations (I haven't listened to radio for a few years, so I don't know if they still are). This reminds me of the Smashing Pumpkins being classified as alternative, while being possibly the most popular band in the US among the mainstream (I have no idea how popular they were around the world).
