Wow, I've listened to their new album a lot these past few days and I have to say, I'm impressed, especially by Martin's vocals. Ridiculously better than on previous albums, by far the best they've ever done.

Wow, you people must be deaf or something. Viva la vida doesn't veer from their previous work much at all, least of all his vocals. :|

I think people are referring to it being less ballad-heavy, less big-hitting effusive emotional numbers etc. Meh. What do I know.

It would be nice to hear an instrumental performance instead of these cheesy ballads that people swoon about. Coldplay's guitarist is actually decent, it's a shame Chris Martin keeps him locked in a cage.

It would be great if people didn't expect musicians to make completely different music so they conform more to they musical preferences. We get it, you don't like softer music, GTFO.

all fantastic songs, spies was good too.
but coldplay has so much damn filler, it ruins it.

I like Coldplay, but I can't help but think back to that quote from the 40 Year Old Virgin about playing for the other team and liking and Coldplay.

I just noticed this but don't High Speed off Parachutes & Subterranean Homesick Alien by Radiohead sound very similar?
