Wow.
...I didn't know anyone paid enough attention to Fred Frith to make a documentary about him. I know he's a legend among avant-prog, and probably put out as much material as Frank Zappa or Bob Pollard, but he's just so damn...obscure. I really want to catch We Jam Econo (documentary about the first wave of American independent underground), but I can't seem to find a copy anywhere.

Some of you may be into this one. No spoilers here. I'll wait 'til someone has seen it. |

Minutemen - We Jam Econo . Their song, Corona, is perhaps best known for being the theme from Jackass, but their back catalogue includes a great deal of amazing material.

The Beatles Anthology, Hail! Hail! Rock 'n' Roll (on Chuck Berry), Standing in the Shadow of Motown (on the Funk Brothers), Live Forever (on Brit-pop), Air Guitar Nation (on the world championship of air guitar) and The Mayor of Sunset Strip (on Rodney Bingenheimer; the real Zelig/Forrest Gump of rock music).
