But, Scarlett Johansson made a cover album, while Milla writes her own music and does it great.

Yes, Scarlett Johansson made a really good cover album, but it's just that - a good cover album. I can't help but wonder if she chose to cover Tom Waits just because he's the only artist whose songs she can pull off with her voice or because she likes his music. I don't know for other people, but I always put someone's original work in front of a cover album, no matter how good the covers are.

Same here. As far as the more recent actresses crossing over into music, I wouldn't even put Johansson in the top slot, even with her cover material -- as Zooey Deschanel's work with M. Ward eclipses that, in my opinion.

I would, however, take Milla over both of them.
