ZZ Top's Beardless Frank Beard
 

I would like to know why Frank BEARD of ZZ Top does not have a beard. Therefore I will dedicate this thread to putting forth an effort to finding out this eternal question.

Any theories or facts/rumors would be very welcome.

He can't be named "Beard" and also have a beard, as the two would cancel each other out and the universe would implode. It's simple math, sheez :rolleyes:

Cause he's old now?

While a goatee is technically a beard, anyone whom is a proponent of beards knows they are half assed lazy excuses for thos who will not commit.

So I reopen this thread and challenge you to find me a picture of Mr Beard with a full beard.

It's more of a goatee.

I think Frank Beard simply enjoys irony.

So far Id have to agree with Oojay in that it would simply be too much beard for Frank to handle if it was grown out. The bands health and sanity must be taken into account in matters like this.

Hill and Gibbons don't seem to mind. While they do provide a nice symmetry that Frank would only screw up by growing a beard, they also provide additional irony in that their last names are not Beard.
