I went for I Often Dream Of Trains because I like the sound of the title and the cover photo is a nice, low-key scene.
Also, I got scared off by some of the louder genres on offer here. If the poll doesn`t change much in the next few days, I`m going to be listening to Noise Rock for the first time in my life !

It was a toss-up between Bathory and Butthole Surfers but I went with Bathory. I have the song 'In Conspiracy With Satan' off that album and I'm interested in hearing the entire thing. I love that raw, primative metal sound as well.

You can all blame me for tempting you with Spinal Tap

I'm gonna go with Butthole Surfers, because they have always been a band I've wanted to check out, but they keep getting pushed aside when I find other stuff.

There aren't any albums from this year that I love. From these noms, I have to go with Butthole Surfers. It's their best album(that I've heard).

I hope people actually listen to the albums before voting. Quite a few of the comments on here suggest people aren't doing that.

I have heard the Hitchcock album in the past but it didn't really convince me.

It's better if you haven't listened to the albums before voting. One of the main points of albums clubs is to discover new music by listening to albums you haven't heard before and then having a discussion on it and telling what you thought of it. That's what makes it interesting. Not much point in just voting for your favourite album.

Well if I don't like the music much there's often not much I feel like saying about it.

Well you can surely explain what it is you don't like about it? That's all that is required for a discussion really, your thoughts on it.

Well, the whole point (at least for me), is to hear something new and discover it with others.
