I've been meaning to check this album out for a while now, so i think this will be the one where I start participating in the album club. Looking forward to checking it out. I could use a link also if it wouldn't be too much trouble.

23 love songs down, 46 yet to go.
I'd really like to hear from the people who voted for this, and from anyone who already enjoys it, because I was really surprised how uninteresting I found the first 23 tracks to be. I've seen nothing but pure praise for this album, but I did think the first disc was totally average. Really sorry to say that, but with 46 tracks left I'm hoping to have something more positive to say about it. |

Same here, I've listened to the first disc and haven't had the will to progress and listen to the other two.

Now, I love indie pop, so that's not really the issue here, but I don't feel like it brings anything new to indie pop, other than an album that's a fuckload longer than any in the genre. I suppose I like the quality of his voice, but that's not enough to hold me over so many songs.

I may be the minority here, but I just finished the first disk, and I'm really enjoying it. That being said, I don't know if that feeling to carry through another two hours, and I'm going to have to listen to something else in between. It might also just be the mood I am in right now, this album is fairly fitting. I guess we shall see..

i had never heard it and voted for them......they are on some compilation i found called "Twee as Fuck" and the song on there was great
i made it through i think a little over the first disc......and also found it quite unremarkable...listenable but honestly kind of boring.....i do like the duel vocals kind of mixing things up....i generally hate all music that involve a ukulele....also not really that depressing..... |
