Default Albums You Hate By Bands You Love

Here`s 5 of mine....

1. The Cure - Wish

The Cure pander to their new found American audience by making the safest , blandest record of their career ,and sure enough they lap it up & it sells by the millions..... ****ing awful.

2. Alice Cooper - Lace & Whiskey

Alice attempts to become a 50s style crooner , and falls flat on his arse. I can count how many times i`ve listened to my Alice Cooper albums to the nearest thousand , this one i`ve listened to twice. Both times it never even made it halfway through before being thrown off the stereo & made to gather dust on the shelf. And if thats not bad enough here`s 2 words that`ll put you off even more ....'concept album'

3. Blur - Think Tank

Memo to Damon Albarn
1. Stop being such a miserable git
2. Pull your head out of your arse
3. Bring back Graham Coxon
4. Stop trying my patience releasing utter garbage like this

4. REM - Around The Sun

Around the bottom of my CD collection

5. Massive Attack - 100th Window / Danny The Dog OST
(I would have pictures here but it only lets you post 4 grrr)
Massive Attack albums are like busses , you wait ages for one & then 2 come along all at once.Sadly it seems somebody pissed in the back seat in both.

radiohead- pablo honey. not a good indication of things to come, bar creep its all filler and no killer.

led zeppelin- in through the outdoor. a decline in the standards set, this is the sound of a band nearing the end.

pavement- terror twilight. just really bad. the difference in creativity and quality between this and brighten the corners is quite profound

beck- midnight vultures. his attempts at the american pre hip-hop urban music style free falls into oblivion. steer clear.

stone roses- second coming. not a fan of this album. with exception to ten storey love song, theres not one track that stands out to me. pretty boring.

I quite liked that. I don't hate many albums by bands I love, unless it's a second album; Strokes 'Room on Fire,' Kings Of Convenience 'Riot on an Empty Street,' Turin Brakes 'Ether Song.'

I take it back, I do. Bands I love who made albums I hate:

1. Oasis - Standing on the Shoulders of Giants - Okay, I don't love them anymore but this album was bad enough to sever our relationship. Obviously if they're returned with something better it may have been salvaged, but alas.

2. Blur - Think Tank - Urban has covered this so you get the picture.

3. Garbage - Beautiful Garbage - There's nothing beautiful about this sugary pop pish. I want the real Garbage back.
4. Queens of the Stone Age - Lullabies to Paralyse - Typical radio friendly stoner rock. Since when have Queens of the Stone Age ever made typical music. Get a grip. Please.

5. Pulp - We Love Life - It pains me to diss Pulp. Zany idea, and it amused, but it didn't capture... I don't actually listen to it, it just sits there looking green and pretty. Decent enough background music but that's never been what Pulp are about, they're supposed to make you stand up and take notice.

Ironically that album has my favourite Pulp song ever on it , Sunrise.

shame the rest of it is so bad
