If you listened to more of The Amboy Dukes, you would understand the disappointment.

....He had that album based on midsummer night's dream or something, and some really dorky creative choices(not good dorky), that makes me embarrased to listen to him sometimes.

....it's a shame about the nuge because he's an awesome guitar player, just a terrible songwriter and a right wing blowhard.

Well a great artist always needs to evolve. And sometimes there's a few bumps on the way.

Agreed. I'm surprised he doesn't have a FoxNews program yet.

1.
Storytelling-Belle & Sebastian
Godawful mess to put it mildly.
2.
Pop-U2
Impossible to take them seriously anymore after this fiasco.
3.
The Top-The Cure
Especially considering how good the albums before and after it were.
4.
Head Music-Suede
The moment they finally lapsed into self-parody. Coming Up was listenable on it's own terms but this was just awful.
5.
Yes-Pet Shop Boys
The glory days of Actually and Behaviour never seemed quite so far away.

Honorary mention to Masters Of The Universe-Depeche Mode,Sky Blue Sky-Wilco and Around The Sun-REM.

Why is it every 6 months someone comes along & bumps all my old threads?

Have you heard the live versions of the Around the Sun songs? They're awesome! Goes to show how much production and arrangement can make an album suck.

It's because your threads are the internet equivalent of a fine wine.
